We are thrilled to share our 2026 August Interlude series!
This August, we'll explore Richmond through chamber music, from the timeless beauty of Agecroft Hall & Gardens to the historic charm of Church Hill. Each program is thoughtfully shaped by its surroundings, creating a unique musical experience that invites audiences to see familiar places in a new light.
Whether you're a longtime classical music enthusiast or simply curious to discover something new, we hope you'll join us for these special performances.
Welcome to the Richmond Chamber Players! My name is Emily Monroe, and I’m privileged to be the newest Artistic Director of this organization.Founded in 1974, RCP is the longest-running chamber music series in Richmond and has been part of the city’s cultural life for decades.
Each August, RCP presents live chamber music concerts in Richmond’s historic and meaningful spaces. Our ensemble is made up primarily of professional musicians from the Richmond Symphony, along with other outstanding local artists.
These concerts are for everyone, whether you are a lifelong classical music listener or just beginning to explore it! It’s a chance for musicians to share music they care about, and to connect directly with the audience in an inviting setting.
We hope you’ll come experience live music, explore Richmond’s spaces with us, and be part of a welcoming community built around great music!
